What Is Snow TWO?
Snow TWO applies the skills covered during Snow ONE. We will travel on snowshoes from the parking lot to our training area in the Bullion Basin. During the day, we will execute the self-arrest positions and enjoy proper glissading.
Students will arrive properly packed and prepared for a full day of instruction and be prepared to be laying in the snow for several hours.
Preparing For Snow TWO
The Experience Field Trip should be considered as an actual, overnight scramble activity. Students should bring each of the items below.
What to bring:

Proper clothing/layers
Gloves (Insulating and Waterproof - Multiple Pair)
Harness kit
Helmet
Ice Ax (with Adze and Spike taped)
Boots
Snowshoes
Food
Water
Hygiene Kit
Ten Essentials
Notes from lecture and a pen
Time & Location
This activity will be held in Bullion Basin area adjacent to the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort on April 19th, 2025. We will begin the day at 8:00am and training typically ends around 4pm. Please arrive by 7:45am to be ready in time.
The parking location is marked on the right with a red pin. Parking fees are not applicable on this date.
